HGST HTS545050A7E380 (initially Hitachi HTS545050A7E380) was a hard drive model created by Hitachi and later HGST. It was a 5,400 RPM 2.5" 7 mm hard drive model, succeeding the Hitachi HTS541050A9E380, reducing the z-height to 7 mm. It complemented parent company Western Digital's WDC WD5000LPVT-xxG33Tx, being produced concurrently prior to being discontinued. This model was succeeded by the HGST HTS545050A7E680, a version that featured SATA-600 link speed. It competed against the TOSHIBA MQ01ABF050 and ST500LT012-1DG142.
