HGST HTS721010A9E630 was a hard drive model created by HGST. It was a 5,400 RPM 2.5" 7 mm hard drive model, succeeding the Hitachi HTS547550A9E384, upgrading to SATA 3.0, 500 GB/platters, and reducing platter count to one and z-height to 7 mm. It complements parent company Western Digital's WDC WD5000LPVX-xxV0TTx, being produced concurrently prior to being discontinued. It competed against the TOSHIBA MQ01ABF050 and ST500LT012-1DG142.
