WDC WD5000LPVX-xxV0TTx is a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It is a 2.5" 500 GB drive designed for laptop PCs, and succeeds the WDC WD5000LPVT-xxFMCTx, upgrading to SATA 3.0. Compared to the WDC WD5000LPCX-xxC6HTx, which it coexisted with, the WD5000LPVX-xxV0TTx keeps a lower 8 MB of cache. It was succeeded by the revisional WDC WD5000LPCX-xxVHATx, which upgrades to SATA 3.1 and 16 MB cache. Similar units from other manufacturers include the TOSHIBA MQ01ABF050 and ST500LT012-1DG142.
