ST4000DM000-1F2168

From Computing Classics Wiki

ST4000DM000-1F2168 was a hard drive model created by Seagate. It was a 4 TB 3.5" CMR hard drive model using four 1 TB platters, being Seagate's then-flagship desktop class model, and once again utilising 5,900 RPM after briefly being ditched for the Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 family. The ST4000DM000-1F2168 succeeded the ST4000DM000-1CD168 as a more mainstream revision of the same platform, Lombard. This model primarily competed with the WDC WD40EZRX-xxSPEBx, which has the same configuration, as well as its Blue relabel WDC WD40EZRZ-xxWN9Bx. It was succeeded by the ST4000DM000-2AE166, which uses a newer platform with only three 1.33 TB platters.
