This category lists hard drive articles that don't list SCTERC defaults, which control how long the drive takes to time out when retrying reads. SCTERC defaults are what these timeouts are set to when the drive is started; most drives do not remember SCTERC settings after a reboot. If a drive does not support SCTERC at all, that should be noted as "Not supported".
