Toshiba MN08-Dis a hard drive family created by Toshiba. This family succeeds the MN04 and MN06 (except 10 TB) models, upgrading the platter capacity to 1.6 TB (except for the 512n version, which uses 1.33 TB platters). It was first released in 2021, exclusive to Japan initially.[1]

History

The MN08-D series traces its roots to the earlier Toshiba MG08-D series, which was announced in 2020 and released in 2021.[2] This family is based on binned drives from that line.
