HITACHI_DK23EA-40 is a hard drive model released by Hitachi, made prior to the acquisition of IBM's hard drive lineup and therefore using Hitachi's native architecture. Part of the Eucalyptus platform, it is a 40 GB model made from two 30 GB platters and three heads. It was succeeded by the HITACHI_DK23FA-40.
