ST4000LM024-2AN17V
From Computing Classics Wiki
ST4000LM024-2AN17V is a hard drive model created by Seagate. It is a 2.5" thick 4 TB drive, using shingled magnetic recording. It succeeds the ST4000LM016-1N2170, increasing platter density to 1 TB/platter, though 800 GB/platter variants under the same name do exist. It is part of the renewed BarraCuda Guardian series, replacing the Mobile HDD, Spinpoint and Momentus names, and is marketed towards both large storage PC applications as well as for use in external drives; it is extensively used within Seagate and Maxtor 4 TB external hard drives. The ST4000LM024-2AN17V was released in 2016.[1] Similar units include the WDC WD40NPZZ-xxA9JTx and TOSHIBA MQ04ABB400.
