It was based on the Jaguar-1B platform. It complements parent company Western Digital's WDC WD3200LPVX-xxV0TTx, being produced concurrently prior to being discontinued. It competed against the TOSHIBA MQ01ABF032 and ST320LT012-1DG14C.
