WDC WD10EURX-xxUY4Yx is a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It is a 1 TB 3.5" hard drive designed for consumer electronics applications such as DVRs/set-top boxes. It is often found in Optus Fetch Mighty DVRs.[1] The WD10EURX-xxUY4Yx is one of three models that constitute the main model WD10EURX, the others being WDC WD10EURX-xxFH1Yx and WDC WD10EURX-xxC57Yx; the WD10EURX-xxUY4Yx is the newest of the three, the only one based on the newer TrailXLB Marvell family, and the only one that remains in production.

Trivia

  • Like many drives in the WD AV-GP family, it was one of the last to carry the "GreenPower" logo introduced in 2006. The 2017-2019 logo and label change transition finally removed this, replacing it with "Connected Home Hard Drive".
  • Strangely, the WD10EURX-xxUY4Yx adopts the Preventative Wear Levelling (PWL) feature normally reserved for high capacity Ultrastars and their relabels. The PWL feature often causes much noise complaints for said Ultrastars. This may be why the WD10EURX only infrequently parks its heads.
