List of Western Digital customer codes

This is a list of Western Digital customer codes. A Western Digital customer code is the first two digits of the identifier, for example, -75Z10T0, where the "75" indicates a drive intended for Dell. Many customer coded hard drives will add additional details to the label requested by customers of that drive; sometimes, extra SMART parameters are added as well (most of these are tracked by all units, but hidden in firmware; some customers un-hide the given attributes).

Adds interface (omitted on 2.5" drives), capacity, spindle speed and firmware version (actually last two characters of ID code) in a box similar to drives produced by Toshiba and Seagate for Dell. Unhides F0 Head Flying Hours, F1 Total Host Writes and F2 Total Host Reads; additionally, on 2.5" drives, BF G-Sense Error Rate is unhidden and FE Free Fall Protection is added (not unhidden). | ||
