This is a list of model number codes used on Fujitsu consumer hard drive models.

Prefix letter: M

All Fujitsu model numbers begin with M.

The fourth digit indicates the form factor of the drive; being 2 for 2.5" drives, and 3 for 3.5" drives.

The fifth, sixth and seventh digits indicate the capacity of the drive, in gigabytes.

Eight digit: Interface and SED support

The eighth digit indicates the interface. Certain letters may also indicate SED support.
