Aries-S was a hard drive platform created by Toshiba. It succeeds the previous Toshiba Pluto-A platform, and introduces a new label design and HDA. It also introduces SATA 1.0 support, a first for Toshiba. Aries-S started a new naming convention after Zodiac constellations, which would continue for all subsequent Toshiba 2.5" platforms. Aries-S was succeeded by the higher platter capacity Taurus-S.
