The Hitachi C4K40 series (HTC424020F7AT00 - 20GB, 7mm, HTC424040F9AT00 - 40GB, 9.5mm) is a series of 1.8 inch hard drive created by Hitachi shortly after merging with IBM's storage division creating HGST. They carry both the older style Hitachi model number (DK14FA-20, DK13FA-40) and the newer style model number. The HTC424020F7AT00 is one of the first 7mm hard drives in the industry, long before Hitachi released a 2.5" 7mm drive.
