WDC WD5000LUCT-xxY8HYx was a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It is a 2.5" 500 GB drive designed for smaller DVRs, and succeeds the WDC WD5000LUCT-xxY8HYx, being based on a slightly newer, but mechanically identical platform. As with its predecessor, it uses a single 500 GB platter and 7 mm z-height. It was succeeded by the WDC WD5000LUCT-xxRC2Yx, with an even newer revision of this drive's platform.
