WDC WD20EARX-xxPASBx is a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It is a 3.5" 2 TB CMR drive, and succeeds the WDC WD20EARX-xxZUDBx, managing to slim down to three platters thanks to an increased 667 GB/platter density. As with many other WD Greens, the true spindle speed is shrouded under the IntelliPower buzzword, but has been confirmed via benchmarking and average latency as well as vendor specific commands to be 5,000 RPM. It was succeeded by the WDC WD20EZRX-xxDC0Bx, which reduced the platter count to two. Similar models from other manufacturers include the Hitachi HDS5C3020ALA632, ST2000DL003-9VT166 and SAMSUNG HD204UI.
