WDC WD800BEVS-xxRSTx was a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It is a 80 GB 2.5" hard drive model based on a single 80 GB platter. It succeeded the previous WDC WD800BEAS-xxKZTx and WDC WD800BEVS-xxLATx, increasing the density to 80 GB per platter and standardising 8 MB cache. It was succeeded by the WDC WD800BEVS-xxUSTx, which increases density further to 125 GB per platter. Similar models from other manufacturers include the Hitachi HTS541680J9SA00, TOSHIBA MK8037GSX, SAMSUNG HM080HI and ST980811AS.
