WDC WD20PURZ-xxAKKYx is a hard drive model created by Western Digital. Binned for DVR/NVR surveillance use, it is a 2 TB 3.5" CMR hard drive. Unlike its predecessor, the WDC WD20PURZ-xxGU6Yx, this drive uses 1.33 TB platters and one less head, and also introduces a new HDA similar to Venice SMR drives. This model has been succeeded by the WDC WD22PURZ-xxB4ZYx, which use 2 TB platters while keeping CMR.
