Revision as of 12:56, 3 September 2022
Western Digital AV-25 is a hard drive family created by Western Digital. It is a variant of Western Digital Scorpio Blue and later Blue drives designed for use in consumer electronics DVRs, though certain models with soldered USB interfaces were instead designed for external hard drives that were designed for use with DVRs that accepted them. Since 2018, it is only known as AV-25 in datasheets, with actual units instead bearing "Connected Home Hard Drive".
History
The AV family was originally released in 2011, and consisted of models from the Jamaica 4K and Zephyr families.
