Toshiba P300 is a hard drive family created by Toshiba. This family consists of rebranded Toshiba DT01ACA and Toshiba DT02 models, and is targeted at standard desktop PC applications, similarly to its competitors Western Digital Blue Desktop and Seagate BarraCuda.[3] This family was accompanied by the now-discontinued Toshiba E300 family, which carried 5,700 or 5,940 RPM drives, and the Toshiba X300 family, which is also for PCs (albeit of the performance workstation or gaming type) but with capacities 4 TB and greater, and is instead based on binned Toshiba enterprise drives (rather than Hitachi HDA-based drives as with P300).

Trivia

  • This family was formerly distinguished by carrying 7,200 RPM models while the E300 carried 5,000-class models; however, with the addition of the SMR 5,400 RPM models, this distinction is no longer accurate.
