Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D is a hard drive family created by Hitachi. Most models from this family were sold simultaneously by Toshiba under their Toshiba DT01ACA family; this family continued to be produced even after the 7K1000.D's discontinuation.[1] All models in this family spin at 7,200 RPM. An accompanying family, the Hitachi Deskstar 5K1000.B, was based on the same HDA but spun at 5,700 RPM.
