Magnum-08 is a hard drive platform created by Toshiba. It succeeds the previous Toshiba Magnum-07, further increasing the density to 1.78 TB/platter in order to allow for 16 TB flagship models. Magnum-08 reverts to a Marvell-sourced MCU, as opposed to the Avago MCUs deployed by Magnum-07 as well as that platform's predecessor, the original Magnum.
