ST1000DM003-1ER162 was a hard drive model created by Seagate. It is one of many models that constitute the ST1000DM003 model, which succeeds the previous-gen ST31000524AS. Compared to previous ST1000DM003s, the -1ER162 version includes a newer ACS-3 Revision 3b command set and locked terminal ports. It was one of the first models on the market to use 1 TB platters. It was succeeded by the ST1000DM010-2DM162, which is part of the same family but has newer Guardian branding.
