WDC WD1600BEVT-xxZCTx was a hard drive model created by Western Digital. It succeeded the WDC WD1600BEVS-xxVATx as the standard 160 GB model for laptops, featuring an upgraded SATA 300 MB/s link speed as opposed to the WD1600BEVS-xxVATx, which supports only SATA 150 MB/s despite supporting the SATA 2.5 standard. It was part of the Denali family of 160 GB/platter 2.5" drives. It was succeeded by the WDC WD1600BEVT-xxA23Tx, which has an increased 320 GB/platter density. Similar models include the TOSHIBA MK1652GSX, ST9160310AS, Hitachi HTS543216L9A300 and SAMSUNG HM160HI.
