ST3000DM001-1CH166 was a hard drive model created by Seagate, and one of four models that constitute the main ST3000DM001 model, infamous for its unusually high failure rate. The -1CH166 revision more consistently wore the then-new Desktop HDD branding. The main successor was the ST3000DM001-1ER166, although during the -1CH166's lifetime, a different variant called the ST3000DM001-1E3166 was made.
